A.G. Lambrick/Gordon Head Dairy, Saanich
According to this article (page 44), Arthur Lambrick was born in Cornwall, U.K. and moved to Victoria in 1911 at the age of 19. In 1913 he bought himself a cow and gradually began selling milk to neighbours. In 1923 or 1924 he moved from Kings and Shelbourne in Victoria to Torquay Drive in Saanich where he started the largest dairy in Greater Victoria. He began using the name Gordon Head Dairy in 1940. He was a strong opponent of government mandated pasteurization of milk. In 1966 he retired, selling his property to the city to become Lambrick Park Secondary School and Lambrick Park. He died in 1967.
